Children’s Anger Program

This Psycho-Educational instructional program is offered for children of all ages, who are having difficulty expressing and controlling their anger. These sessions focus on six skills known to be effective in dealing with anger; problem solving, knowing your hot buttons, self talk, reducing stress, talking out conflicts, and relaxation.

Children will learn:

1. the six skills to controlling anger
2. how to stop and think before they act aggressively
3. how to focus on helping themselves, rather than hurting others
4. build confidence in handling situations that tend to provoke anger
5. improve the child's ability to get along with and keep friends
6. develop and/or improve frustration tolerance.

The program has a clinical game-based presentation with direct skill instruction and suggestions for between-session practice.
A pre and post program screening is completed to chart progress and provide appropriate recommendations for further support. This program can be incorporated into home behaviour plans and school Individual Education Plans. (IEP).

Our stock available for parents to purchase include a variety of special education tools, parent tool kits for homework and travel, Sonicaid CD's for relaxation, stress, sleep, concentration, creativity, and positive thinking, aromatherapy and my personal meditation CD. We also have a children's clinical story book about a child with OCD which offers a CBT approach.
